View from my Chair

The year 2004 has scarcely been kind to our tuatha...sickness, accidents, deaths...and all of them of great import to our tuatha...has this been a year or what....

We have been experiencing more than usual difficulty in obtaining firm information on the events in which we will participate this year.  If you check our schedule you will find those we have been invited to attend this year so far, and, for a change, with what I trust are the correct dates.  We would so greatly appreciate your attending as many as possible for I fear that we have lost a number of our valuable membership over the past year AND WE NEED ALL OF YOU!

Many thanks to all of you for your efforts this past year and while I know that some of you do not plan to continue on the same level as in the past, none the less we are totally grateful to those of you whose life requirements call them elsewhere,  for all you have done.  The 'old ones' appreciate our efforts.(and I don't mean just Fergus and myself)  We will need the rest of you who can continue to give more than your usual 110% to the cause.

It is with great pleasure that I can advise that in addition to singing the songs of our forefathers, you can also learn the skills of hair braiding, inkle looming, jewelry making, sword fighting, and stone carving.  Within Queen Medb Encampment there are opportunities to learn new 'stuff' as well as sit around and look pretty.  We hope you will consider becoming a part of our An Tuatha.

Ooops, almost forgot to tell you, if you pay your annual dues promptly, you will receive a photo CD album of people and things from QME from previous occasion's.  Please make sure it give us your current snail mail address.  This will the the first of what I trust shall be many more CDs to come

Just received from our friends: Wrath of McGrath!

Try to come to March 4 at Ireland's 32. We've kept "Queen Meave's Encampment" on the new CD!

Should you desire to be a part of QME's exciting association, we not only want you but we need you.  We are in the process of starting a female warrior group called the Gabhanride and we would love to have you join us.  We are also amenable (and how) to donations of any size as being non profit (federal and state) you know we need support. A worthy cause and of course tax deductible!  (And I know tax deductions are important to most people)

We are always so interested in learning more of our heritage and you can help us pass it on. We would so appreciate your assistance but would like it infinitely more if you joined our association. Bennacht
