To the Inimitable Medbh Herself and all her followers: With plans to return home permanently to my native Portland, Oregon on September 8th, I am looking back over my 21 years in Los Angeles at some of my most treasured memories--and of course, QME comes to mind. I learned so much, had such a wonderful time, and met so many delightful, warm and wonderful people. My year with the Encampment remains a bright and shining part of my Southern California experience. My thanks to all of you, and especially to you, Catherine, for your scholarship, friendship and devotion to Celtia.

Medb Abu!! Love - Gail

I was simply surfing the net when I came across your QME site and I thought I would take the time to tell you that I find your organisation very interesting.

I spent quite some time looking through your website and was amazed at how immersed your organisation is in all things Celtic. I am sure that most of my friends here in Ireland would be equally amazed too. I was born and raised in the land of Cuchulain - Ard Mhaca (Armagh), where I still live in the ring of Gullion, where Celtic traditions are still upheld to this day.

In fact, my cousin still makes authentic bronze and iron age swords etc
using the traditonal hand sand-casting methods of the period you base your encampment upon. His swords are used for battle re-enactment or simply genuine celtic displays from a past era and he too is surprised at the percentage that make its way across the water.

Anyway, I just thought that I would say hello and wish you all the best with your fantastic venture.

Warmest regards, Gearoid McAtilla

Hope you are doing well and I look forward to seeing you at Hermosa and the other events you will be at. I am moving from Long Beach to Orange County and hope that all the extra space will provide for more activities. Your presence is much desired. Please mark your calendar (hours are 9-5) and we will talk soon.

Hello! My name is Alexandre, I´m a galician boy, I live in Meiras, a little parish on the north coast of Galicia. I have seen today your web about celtic countries, a theme very interesting for me, and I have seen that you are rearching information about Galicia and Asturias.

I'd like to help you about my country, Galicia, I study the celtic pass of Galicia, and our traditions, also I study medieval texts and in fact I'm bagpiper, I think that I can help you. With Asturias I think that I cannot help you, because I'm not sure really that they are a celtic country...

If you have some questions I will be happy to help you. Excuse me my bad English! Thanks by your attention Deico logo! (good bye!)

My dear Cate, I want to thank you for the gift you've given Me today in the collection of photos on the site.  I'd glanced briefly at them a couple weeks ago (and told Darby she should bring them up too) but today, I took a good look.  What memories are stored in these simple images - how many years of joy and toil and satisfaction are held in them.

Thank you for all you've done for Me and all you've touched. Thank you. Siubhan

Dia Duit! Hello! I just happened across your site today, and it is always good to see people dedicated to teaching the history of our Celtic ancestors, a subject virtually ignored in school history here in America.

I happened to notice that on one page, it was mentioned that y'all are looking for a carnyx. If you haven't found one already, I might suggest www.thelonelymountainforge.com. They are having some problems with this site currently, but it is easy to find the old site which is still up and running. Metalsmith Joe piela makes what appears to be a very faithful bronze reproduction of a Celtic Carnyx for about $850, I think. I am currently working out the details on a custom version of the "Celtic Chieftain sword" with Mr. Piela, and I can't wait to see the final product!

Anyway, I hope this might be helpful. Keep up the good work.
