BRACCAE, or TREIBHFIN

To construct Braccae (or Treibhs) it is probably best for a novice to start with a commercial pattern, Braccae fasten at the waist with a draw string and can hang straight to the ankle, or "blouse: slightly over. Sometimes they were cut to hang loose at the calf or just above the knee. It is your option. (Men's PJ pattern excellent)!

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut together two of each piece; right pieces together, match right front and back and match left front and back.
2. Sew side & inseams.
3. Turn left leg right side out and slip into right leg.
4. Match crotch seam & stitch.
5. Turn top edge under for drawstring casing.
6. Work two buttonholes Center Front.
7. Stitch casing and insert drawstring.
8. Turn right side out and try on to measure length.
9. Turn up bottom and stitch.
